As the second generation of neo-goths (modern goths) came to a close towards the mid 90's, they began to explore heavy metal. The result from the pioneers worthy of the label such as Paradise Lost, Type O Negative and My Dying Bride brought out Gothic Metal. Bands that came under this label were Rasputina, Tristiana, Anathema, The Gathering, The 69 Eyes and Moonspell. The earlier goths became known as Elder Goths who saw the metal gothic generation illigitimate, more modern made. Metal goths, Mall-Goths and Cyber Goths were considered as Novice Goths, in other words those who weren't there when it was new and fresh but create their own definition of goth. Metal goths have a huge taste for gothic metal and listen to some gothic rock bands but also have extreme tastes for heavy metal. Their aesthetic tastes lie between heavy metal and neo-gothic culture, they wear leather jackets, boots, black jeans or leather jeans, a horror t-shirt, black nails, eyeliner and hair that lies to the sides (apparently influenced by Ozzy Osbourne). The female goths dress in leather or snake skin mini skirts, a leather top, long leather fingerless gloves, boots, black hair or crimson red that drapes over one eye sometimes, black eyeliner, black lipstick and black nails. Metal goths are the only type of gothi known for wearing all black! Apparently the hipster goths copied the metal goths but also adopted black metal lifestyle, the novice goths and elder goths consider them fledglings, not at all true to gothic lifestyle. Gothic metal is currently hugely popular in Europe.

This is the base of a pair of freestanding drape stands. Each stand only has three legs, as the four leg is replaced by the crossbar between the two stands that the drape hangs over. Bolts are welded to the shorter leg and and held to the upright and the other leg with wing nuts. The vertical post is aluminium.
